Embroidered Sketchbooks

So I have this beautiful linen sketchbook and it’s completely blank and in the nicest white linen stock. I love it but I’ve been thinking I want to do something really special to personalize it a bit more. I’ve also been coming across a lot of beautiful embroidery work lately and the two thoughts intersected and now I really want to embroider this sketchbook.

How can you not want to try it with all the lovely inspirations out there for this kind of project? Wish me luck because I will probably cry if I mess up my lovely sketchbook. Ok. Not really.

Timber Preservation Society

Over the weekend the boyfriend and I attended Unique LA, one of my most favorite local events, and he purchased this awesome tee from Timber Preservation Society.

I really dig the style, the illustrations on these screenprinted tees is so detailed and fun and whimsical and just awesome. They’re so different than what you normally see on tees that I just had to feature them. And I found out that they’ve been a featured seller on etsy before too! The interview is over a year old so I guess I’m a little late to the party on this one but oh well.

Well, at least it is to me. For my tastes and personality this is absolutely ideal. Everything is beautiful and has so much personlaity and it still feels fun and modern. Now, I’m completely aware that this wedding is you know, a bit old. Like every wedding blog posted about it MONTHS ago….but I dont care. I’m a rebel. Yea, that’s right. First spotted it via: Green Wedding Shoes.

Fentress Architects has released their plans for redesigning LAX. The firm won the bid for the redesign last month and the plans look awesome. Their sleek ocean-inspired look is just what LAX needs. I mean really though, ANYTHING is better than what we currently have. Fentress has also designed South Korea’s Incheon International Airport and here in the US they designed Denver International Airport.
