I find this to be pretty amusing. A couple of weeks ago I posted about Barbie’s upcoming 50th anniversary redesign. Apparently the Barbie designer, Jack Ryan, is featured in the new book Toy Monster: The Big, Bad World of Mattel, written by Jerry Oppenheimer. In it Oppenheimer claims that Ryan was a complete swinger. Even engaging with in prostitution and “wild orgies” on a regular basis. What’s more, it now turns out that he based his designs for Barbie off of a composite of several high-price call girls he regularly employed. Absolutely awesome!
